Our services are normally performed on a quarterly basis, but other service frequencies are available. We are Silver Members with the EPA’s PestWise Environmental Stewardship Program and our technicians are regularly trained in EPA-approved Best Management Practices and DACS-approved product, application and customer care training through monthly meetings with the Florida Pest Management Association, where we have held leadership roles for the past 20 years.

Quarterly Pest Protection Plan – Covered Pests

The following pests are included in the quarterly pest protection plan:

  • Ants
  • Roaches
  • Fleas
  • Wasps
  • Centipedes
  • Millipedes
  • Silverfish
  • Spiders
  • Earwigs
  • Pantry pests
  • Various other crawling insects

The following pests are excluded from the quarterly pest protection plan: all wood destroying pests, including but not limited to termites, wood destroying beetles, wood destroying fungi, rodents, ticks and bees.

In our commitment to be responsible stewards of the environment, Slug-A-Bug technicians are committed to using IPM (Integrated Pest Management) methodology when performing their services. Practicing IPM includes the following:

  • Doing a thorough inspection
  • Making sanitation recommendations
  • Excluding pests before they enter
  • The use of glue boards and other mechanical controls
  • The use of pheromones and natural controls
  • Recommendations about cultural controls (i.e. making recommendations like keeping tree limbs and shrubbery away from structure)
  • The judicious use of low impact materials if and when needed
  • Educating and communicating with our customers
